Camp Wildcat Board Meeting Minutes: 2/20/2005

Christi Gerstle - Chair
What I did this week:
tried to submit my agenda and accidentally lost the entire thing. grrrr... anywho, I went on the day activity, talked to several ppl about running for chair and similar stuff, cci budget stuff

My plans for the future:
finish surveys, smooth out budget stuff if not done yet, meet with olga, talk to deena and submit yearbook blurb, make sure bc3 stuff is going smoothly, put charlie Q up on agendas for next week

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
Garrett got us a free computer case! Also, Elisa should get Charlie this week because she didn't really get him yet. I'll put the Charlie question up on the agendas for next week. Our next lunch with Dan Adams is Feb. 28th.

Items you would like on the weekly email:
(tell ppl they can come to board meetings to learn more about CW, and tell them also when and where the board meetings are)

Anca Niculescu - Vice Chair
What I did this week:
Made a lot of donation calls, applied for Big Camp III, got a thank you card for Scott (who donated Santa Rita), had a fun fun social at my house, went to the day activities on Saturday and colored with some cute kids, made an official sign up sheet for CPR/1st Aid Training.

My plans for the future:
Update my profile on the website, finish surveys, make more donation calls, mail nice man about hot air balloon donation.

Katie Paulson - Day Activities
What I did this week:
Saturday's day activity!; got in touch with two high schools; talked to people interested in running for board positions; canceled D.A. mtg due to exhaustation

My plans for the future:
surveys; set up meetings for high schools; make applications for high school students; finish planning Friday's social; talk to BCIII director for HS project; work with Laura on setting up training stuff; interview for BCIII; start better organizing my very barren folder

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
-give Anna receipt from Wal-Mart
-storage key not there = sad Katie

Items you would like on the weekly email:
FRIDAY, FRIDAY, FRIDAY!! Come join Katie and Clay for the super-exciting digital camera scavenger hunt!! We will be meeting at 6th & Cherry at 4:15PM and leaving approximately at 4:30PM. There you will receive your MISSION (and you groups) to see who can rank up the most points before 8! The sign-up sheet is available on the website NOW! So go and sign up!! If you have questions, you can contact either of the freaking awesome leaders at kathrynp@email.arizona.edu or cl8nc@yahoo.com!

Join the fabulous day activities director Katie for a meeting in the CW Office at 5pm this Thursday! We need to start setting up activities for March and April!

Items you would like on the weekly email:
There is less than a week left to get surveys done for Camp Wildcat. Use this week to get your location done! If you don't have a location, somebody probably needs your help...grab some surveys from the csil desk, bring a pen and get them filled out by patrons, then return them to the desk. Everyone's participation is needed to get the maximum dollars out of this fundraiser.

Tonya Kirby - Donations
What I did this week:
Talked to Josh Pastner about the day activity , got a number from him of the lady I need to call who does the scheduling for the team. Went the the Southern Pines Camp site, Went to the meeting with the principal from Menlo Park, went to the kids meeting for Big Camp 3.

My plans for the future:
Go to parent's meeting for big camp 3, call lady about basketball day activity, work on donations.

Clayton Clark - Campus Relations
What I did this week:
I talked to the Daily Wildcat again, and they should be sending a photographer and journalist on BC3. I did some more surveys, had the first weekly dinner at Pei Wei, had the movie social, went to the day activity, went to the kids meeting for Camp, and set up the hiking social.

My plans for the future:
Get some flyers out, get table tents approved by the union, finish my surveys, get people signed up for camp, finalize something with the Tucson Citizen. Get money approved for intramurals next meeting.

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
Christi and Deena, what times are good for you as far as floor hockey goes?

Ren Clark - Community Relations
What I did this week:
met with Maggie at Carb Boom to review the contract she send us. Carb Boom is super felxible and still really eager to help us out in any shape or form! we need to get her a t-shirt...

My plans for the future:
finish up Carb boom duties

friends, family, the hockey song at the hockey games, snowboarding trips, fresh powder on the slopes and a new snowboard.


Deena Davis - Alumni Relations
What I did this week:
i turned 22. i kept up with some emails i have going with alumni asking about the auction/donations. i also found a glitch on the alumni webesight so i emailed kevin and he fixed it. i drove liz down to storage:)

My plans for the future:
40th year reunion. get cci pictures.

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
bryan is a cock blocker

Bryan Getchell - Secretary
What I did this week:
- nothing besides the usual mail etc.


Anna Westendorf - Treasurer
What I did this week:
eh, not much...looked through stuff and tried to find info about the trust, went to saturday's day activity, worked on budget with BC3 directors over email, went to friday's social, got some people from beta alpha psi to come to the day activity (yay)

My plans for the future:
work on budget with Christi, find out how much is in trust acct and exactly how much interest we earn, interview for BC3, scavenger hunt, deposit checks

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
trust acct appears to earn 5.5% with a 1.5% fee, so we can take out either 5.5 or 4%; I will find out this week, APPROVE BC3 budget and money for fingerprinting cards (if anca forgets to ask)

Items you would like on the weekly email:
if you need to be reimbursed for CCI, please talk to me this week. All money still with me on the 28th will count as donations from you!

Sun Goddesses - Other (Big Camp 3 directors)
What I did this week:
went to Southern Pines campsite, went to principal's meeting at Menlo Park, went to kid's meeting. Talked to Professors about coming on camp, worked on making a test bottle rocket. Made kid applications for camp, posted interview times for CW members, posted Big Camp 3 activities for people to sign up for.

My plans for the future:
Do interviews for camp, put together a schedule for camp, check on kids applications which are due on Wed., put together groups for camp, have a staff meeting. Have a wonderfully successful camp!!

Things I need to discuss or share with the board:
Kids meeting went well, we need to give a thanks to Stacy, Olga, Daniel, and Clay for coming to the kids meeting.

Items you would like on the weekly email:
Sign up to come to parent's meeting, the more C Dubbers there, the more comfortable the parents will feel with sending their kids away for a weekend with strangers. Sign up for Big Camp 3 and an interview time. If you have already applied for camp, sign up for an interview ASAP!!
